Gabby Hartley
Gabby Hartley is a dedicated piano instructor and performer with over seven years of teaching experience and a degree in piano performance. Gabby also completed the Arizona Study Program which solidified her focus on classical music.Based in the Washington, DC area, Gabby is passionate about helping students of all ages and levels discover their musical potential through engaging, well-rounded piano instruction.
Drawing on a strong foundation in classical technique and performance, Gabby tailors lessons to each student’s goals — whether that’s mastering the fundamentals, preparing for competitions and recitals, or exploring contemporary styles for personal enjoyment. Lessons emphasize not only technical skill, but also creativity, confidence, and a genuine love of music.
Over the past several years, Gabby has taught students across the DC, VA, and Maryland region, offering both in-home and online lessons for convenience and flexibility. Many of her students have gone on to perform in local recitals, festivals, and school ensembles.
Samreet Juneja
Samreet Juneja is a piano teacher, percussionist, and self-taught composer, and a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park. He was the winner of Evan Erickson's 2022 Call for Scores for his wind quintet piece, Spy Rush, which was first performed in 2023 in Memphis, and recently had a premiere of his first string quartet, Raag Samay Chakra (Raga Time Wheel) in Ljubljana,Slovenia. He has 8 years of teaching experience and strives to create a learning environment that is both musically enriching and enjoyable.
Samreet's main goals for his students are to inspire musical growth and help them discover (or rediscover) their passion for music. He primarily focuses on Classical repertoire and accepts students of any skill level. Samreet offers online lessons as well as in-home lessons in Maryland.
Daniel Stewart
Daniel Stewart is a classical pianist and instructor based in Arlington, VA. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, was a semifinalist for NPR’s From the Top, and was selected for both Ithaca College's and the Eastman School of Music’s pre-college piano performance programs on a merit scholarship. He has performed solo and chamber repertoire extensively and, beyond his undergraduate studies at Grinnell College, where he majored in political science, Daniel studied piano performance in Milan, Italy.
He is currently studying J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations and has extensive experience rehearsing and performing in chamber and collaborative settings. His musical interests also include improvisation and music outside the traditional classical canon, including playing in a DC-based band. His honors include Grinnell's top award for student musicianship, the Curd Outstanding Instrumentalist Award, for his performance of Ravel’s Une Barque sur L’Océan, which funded independent music research in Spain.
As an instructor, Daniel emphasizes a strong technical foundation and musicianship while encouraging creativity and an enduring appreciation for music. Daniel offers in-home lessons in DC and in Virginia.
Hello! My name is Matthew. I strongly believe that fun is the most important part of any musical journey. If learning music is fun, then motivation and practice will follow, and practice is the key to improving musical skill. I focus first on building a repertoire of songs that the student personally enjoys to make lessons and practice feel more meaningful.
Once we have developed some basic skills and a curiosity for more, then we can add in technical exercises, theory, and more difficult pieces. The key to becoming a complete musician is sustained years of practice, and my philosophy is centered on nurturing a lifelong love of music.
